Sarah Fritz is a private practitioner
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with all ages, children through adults, couples, and families. Coming alongside to offer support to fellow sojourners who are navigating painful life situations is a high calling, a place where hope is offered and where trust is earned. I offer a safe and confidential place to process and grow, where dignity and respect within the relationship is held in high regard. A thorough assessment will be done to identify not only problem areas, but also areas of personal strengths which can be utilized when personalizing your plan to move forward to a joyful life.
Every person’s story is only theirs, and I am positive and practical as we work together to identify areas of needed change, manage those changes, and find ways to move forward that will sustain change. Of special interest to me is the area of spiritual trauma as it can impact all other areas of life. In our therapy sessions, components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Person-Centered Therapy will be used to help formulate a new plan which is uniquely yours. We will practice new approaches to negative, defeating thoughts and learn healthy responses to difficulties in life.
Many years of nursing experience, working with young families and children/adolescents in both personal and professional venues, inform my practice. I believe all components of health should be considered when facilitating the healing process. A healthy body can significantly support emotional and mental health; I assist clients to evaluate their dietary habits and fitness levels and consider how to incorporate new habits into their lifestyle. I would love to partner with you as you pursue health and wholeness, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
My spouse of 45 years and I enjoy living on our hobby farm, tending the bees, cows and chickens,
making maple syrup, and introducing the grandchildren to nature. In my spare time I read, play piano, sew, and walk with Uschi, our German Shepherd who roams the property and alerts us to visitors (but has been known to be bribed with a nice biscuit despite her fierce appearance).
